Brief History
The EFA was formed in 2002 as a post season cross league tournament on the East Coast of the USA. Recognizing the need to take semi-pro football to the next level the EFA was transformed to an East Coast Football League. The 12 year old United Football League (UFL-NY) and the Southern Football League (SFL-GA) merged January 2007. The merger created a stronger competitive and professional 32 team Semi-Pro Football League, with teams located from Connecticut to Atlanta GA and all points in between. The Untied Football League has been renamed to the Eastern Football Alliance Inc.
The Eastern Football Alliance Inc. is a trade marked non-profit organization. The league is owned and operated by its President Steven Ellis and Vice President Mike Frazier. Together Ellis and Frazier has taken the business of semi-pro football to another level. The EFA Super Bowl winner will be crowned the true East Coast Semi-Pro Football Champion and receive all awards accordingly.
